Personal Training is a perfect choice for individuals wanting to make long lasting changes to their body under the guidance of a qualified professional.
Sessions are conducted in our private onsite gym studio with just you and your trainer. Our aim is to push you to the edge of your comfort zone, but not beyond this until you are ready.
Benefits of Personal Training
How many times have you started a gym program and are given the same old exercises? Well, that’s the great thing about a Personal Trainer. A PT will create a personalized training plan just for you based on your age, fitness level, mobility and of course your goals. Goals may include weight management, muscle gain, improving cardio or overall fitness.
Your Personal Trainer will keep you accountable, therefore you are less likely to skip workouts. They will provide motivation and support. Most importantly they will ensure you are performing exercises correctly and hence prevent injury or exacerbation of old injuries.
Many people feel intimidated at the thought of hiring a personal trainer. Rest assured, our trainer Linda will certainly push you but in a quiet, private environment. No shouting here, just working towards achieving your goals with you.
Our studio gym may be small, but it is loaded with free weights, weight machines, pulleys, cardio equipment, steps, gym balls, balance boards, kettle bells and much more. Come check it out!
What to Expect

Assessment
Every individual is built differently and has different goals therefore we perform an assessment with you to see what your starting point is. Perhaps you are returning to exercise after illness or injury, you may have an event you wish to train for, your gp may have advised you to join a program, perhaps you worry about falls as you get older. Whatever it may be, your personal trainer will get you started.

Training Plan
Once your Personal Trainer has worked with you to find your starting point and worked out your goals, they will develop an exercise plan for you. This will be based on your ability and desired outcomes and will utilise a variety of gym equipment. Your personal trainer will set the weight and number of exercises to do within your session and ensure you are performing each exercise correctly.

Monitoring
Having a personal trainer also helps keep you motivated. We want you to look forward to your next session and your trainer will keep mixing up the exercises to make sure you don’t get bored – or too comfortable. Training shouldn’t feel like a chore, it should be enjoyable but also leave your session feeling like you have had an adequate workout. Having a personal trainer will keep you working hard in sessions.

Education
Having a plan isn’t just about the exercises. Your personal trainer will also help you to fuel your body correctly through dietary and lifestyle advice. Feel like you are falling off the rails? A session with your personal trainer will get you back on track.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q. Doesn’t a Personal Trainer just yell a lot?
A. Sometimes, yes, PT’s are known to yell at you a lot. Not here. Linda will get you moving and working hard with encouragement, not yelling.
Q. Do I have to be fit to start training with a PT?
A. Not at all. Many of our clients have never exercised before.
Q. Will I be sore after training sessions?
A. That depends on how hard you work in your session. Linda will push you to work hard but ultimately it is up to you to put in the effort. The more effort, the more soreness, but also the faster results. Plus, your body gets used to it and it hurts less over time.
